A “Safe” for Fiber Assets in Extreme Outdoor Environments
In outdoor FTTx network deployments, the biggest challenge is often not the fiber splicing itself, but the erosion of the enclosure and internal fibers caused by harsh environmental conditions. Through structural upgrades, the DHT008 elevates its protection standard from the conventional IP65 to IP66; this means it not only resists dust and water jets but also withstands powerful water sprays or the sudden impact of torrential rain, providing “safe-grade” protection for the precision fiber connections inside.
1. Security and Sealing: The HS008 features a metal security lock (with key) on the left side to effectively prevent unauthorized access or tampering. Two waterproof cable glands at the bottom, combined with an internal sealing gasket, create a robust, airtight, and watertight system.
2. Fully Molded Cable Management System: The right side houses a black, flip-style splice and distribution tray for coiling bare fibers and mounting PLC splitters, while the left base is equipped with precision-molded engineering plastic slots (for cable anchors, dust plugs, etc.). Optical cables, pigtails, and patch cords are routed separately to avoid interference, ensuring optimal fiber bend radii and preventing signal attenuation.
3. High-Density Termination Capability: Despite its compact dimensions of 227 x 181 x 54.5 mm, the HS008 accommodates up to 8 SC adapters or 8 LC/PLC modules. The use of snap-in SC adapter brackets makes installation and maintenance exceptionally convenient.
