4-Core Fiber Optic Distribution Box (FTTx SC/LC/PLC Terminal Box/ODB)
Product Description
This 4-core fiber optic distribution box serves primarily as a termination point between feeder cables and drop cables in FTTx networks. It integrates fiber splicing, splitting, distribution, storage, and cable management within a fully enclosed, IP65-rated housing. Constructed from PC+ABS material, it features independent routing paths and a flip-style distribution panel, supporting both wall-mounted and pole-mounted installations for indoor and outdoor environments.
Unlike large-scale fiber distribution cabinets, this unit is designed for low-density FTTx terminal nodes, making it ideal for scenarios requiring 4 SC ports or up to 8 LC ports. It is suitable for residential FTTH, small business access, remote monitoring backhaul, and distributed user connection points.
Why choose the 4-core model?
The 4-core model sits between the 2-core and 6-core versions. It offers greater port capacity than the 2-core box while maintaining a compact footprint of 186 × 116 × 41 mm. It provides a balanced solution for projects requiring a small yet scalable termination point.
Typical applications include:
Termination of FTTH drop cables for 1–4 SC users;
FTTx nodes in low-density residential areas, rural locations, or suburbs;
Fiber access for small shops and villas;
Fiber backhaul for video surveillance and remote equipment;
Indoor wall-mounted or outdoor pole-mounted feeder-to-drop cable connections;
PLC splitter deployment requiring up to 8 LC outputs.
Key Features

Installation Guide
Verify the installation environment. Avoid prolonged exposure to water, heavy impacts, direct heat sources, and unstable mounting surfaces.
Mark the mounting holes. The reference mounting dimension is D:195 mm; however, please verify against the actual product and installation drawings before drilling.
Secure the enclosure to the wall or pole using appropriate screws, expansion bolts, or pole-mounting hardware.
Unlock and carefully remove the enclosure cover. Ensure the sealing gasket remains clean and undamaged.
Route the feeder fiber optic cable through the waterproof rubber grommet. Properly secure the cable sheath and strength member.
Route the incoming fiber optic cable along a separate path. Keep feeder cables, pigtails, and patch cords routed separately to avoid interference.
Perform fiber splicing and coil the excess fiber while maintaining the proper bend radius.
Install SC adapter modules or PLC modules as required.
Utilize the flip-style distribution panel for ease of operation; return the panel to its original position after installation.
Inspect the sealing gasket, close the cover, lock the enclosure, and form a proper drip loop.
Clearly label ports and cables. Conduct optical performance tests prior to final acceptance.
Maintenance Checklist
Periodically inspect the sealing gasket and waterproof rubber grommet.
Check for the ingress of moisture, dust, or insects inside the enclosure.
Clean adapter end-faces using specialized fiber optic cleaning tools.
Ensure that fiber optic cables and pigtails are not under tension.
Check the bend radius of stored fibers.
Verify that wall-mounting or pole-mounting bolts remain secure.
Update port labels and records following any configuration changes.
Promptly replace any damaged seals, locks, or adapters.
Avoid opening the enclosure during heavy rain unless absolutely necessary.
Record optical test results after maintenance.
